Visitor Guide
Essential practical information for planning your visit to the Petronas Twin Towers, Skybridge, and the KLCC precinct.

Skybridge & Observation Deck
Public access to the Petronas Twin Towers is available through the official Skybridge and Observation Deck tour. Visitors experience the double-deck Skybridge at levels 41–42 (170 metres above ground) and the Observation Deck at level 86 (370 metres). The tour includes a multimedia presentation on the towers' construction history before ascending. Online advance booking is strongly recommended as daily capacity is limited to approximately 1,600 visitors. Walk-up tickets are available from 8:30 AM but frequently sell out within the first hour, particularly during school holidays and major festivals.
Opening Hours & Timing
The Skybridge and Observation Deck are open Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (last admission 8:30 PM). The towers are closed to visitors on Mondays and during the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Hari Raya Haji. Suria KLCC retail hours are 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. KLCC Park is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with the lake fountain show running nightly at 8:00 PM, 9:00 PM, and 10:00 PM (weekends include an additional 7:00 PM show). For photography, early morning visits (9:00–10:00 AM) offer the clearest views, while evening visits provide spectacular sunset panoramas.
Best Viewing Locations
While the Observation Deck provides views from within the towers, the most iconic photographs are taken from external vantage points. KLCC Park's reflection pool provides classic ground-level symmetrical views. The SkyBar at Traders Hotel (33rd floor) offers elevated views with the towers framed against the eastern skyline. For photography enthusiasts, the recently developed Saloma Link pedestrian bridge provides a dramatic perspective of the towers alongside the Ampang elevated highway. The helipad at KL Tower (Menara KL) provides the most frequently published aerial perspective.
Getting There
The KLCC precinct is directly served by KLCC station on the Kelana Jaya LRT line, with underground pedestrian connectivity to Suria KLCC's concourse level. From KL Sentral (the main transit hub), the journey takes approximately 15 minutes. Grab (ride-hailing) and Kuala Lumpur's metered taxi services provide door-to-door transport, with designated drop-off points at the Suria KLCC main entrance and the convention centre. Multi-storey car parking is available beneath the precinct, accessed from Jalan Ampang, Jalan P. Ramlee, or Jalan Pinang, with approximately 5,000 parking bays.
Photography Guidelines
Photography for personal use is permitted throughout the Skybridge and Observation Deck tour. Tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are not permitted inside the towers for safety and space reasons. Drone photography within the KLCC airspace is strictly prohibited under Malaysian Civil Aviation Authority regulations due to the towers' proximity to military and VIP flight paths. Professional and commercial photography within the precinct requires advance written permission from KLCC Holdings management office. The towers' exterior may be freely photographed from public areas.
Climate & Practical Tips
Kuala Lumpur's equatorial climate means temperatures of 27–34°C year-round with high humidity. Afternoon thunderstorms are common (particularly October–March) and can temporarily obscure views from the Observation Deck. Light, breathable clothing is recommended for the outdoor KLCC Park areas, while interiors are aggressively air-conditioned (carry a light layer). Drinking water fountains are available throughout Suria KLCC. The precinct is wheelchair accessible with ramp access to all public areas and elevator service to all levels including the Skybridge tour.
